Grammar Common Mistakes

1.- Comma use.
Def: The comma is use to separate elements, and sentences. This is a common mistake because if someone gets it wrong, it can change the whole sentence meaning.
Ex. Im gonna eat pasta, fruits, meat and vegetables.
Ex2. Martin, who is british, has to go to the party.

2.- These and This.
Def: "This" is used to mean singular and "these" is use when plural.
Ex. These people are really noisy.

3.- Use of "a" and "an".
Def: "a" is used when the next word starts with a consonant. And we use "an" when the next word starts with a vowel.

4.- Don"t and doesn"t.
Def:  Doesn"t is used with the third person singular, like he she it. Don"t is used for other subjects.

5.- Was and were.
Def: We use "was" when we are talking about singular. But we use were when we use plural.
Ex. He was drinking a coke

Da Vinci.

Leonardo Da Vinci was a famous inventor at the time. He also studied engineering, and he was also an artist. With all those cualities, he made a change in the world. He was so smart, that he made more than a hundred inventions. He was creative, optimist, enthusiastic. Apart from being an inventor, he was also an artist. He made various paintings that nowadays are famous all around the world. Da Vinci created things involving art and mathematics. Within that perfect combination of abilities, he was able to create everything his mind could imagine.

Section 3, Task 5

Miami trip

Miami is quite an interesting place to visit, full of nice people and crazy food.

At the moment you"ll get there, you"re going to feel the warm air, just like if you were at the beach.

Then, there is a place in the middle of the city that is full of shops and restaurants that are delicious. There is one of them, that serves the best cheese burgers in the world.

Right next to it, there"s a shop full of cool souvenirs. Things are cheap in that one, I recomend it.

The beach is fabulous. It"s always full, but you can have so much fun.

Those are the best vacations I can imagine. I totally recomend you to go there. The nice people, the best food, cool landmarks. I hopei can go again sometime. 

Section 2, Task 5

Report:

Chess Penalty.

I was seeing achess match and I was very surprised that a player broke a rule and he just kept playing like nothing happened. He moved two pieces in one turn while the other player was distracted. That should totally be penalized. This is not acceptable because a player is just able to move one piece per turn. I think that there should be judge watching the match so no one could do anything that the judge doesn"t see. Even though the player should also apologize beacause he cheated, apart from being penalized by that illegal move. I hope you understand and keep this opinion in mind.

Section 2, Task2

The leisure center

First of all, I will talk about the leisure center. People are not happy with it. It"s just too dirty. Even though it has only a week. You should put more trash cans.

The second problem is that is just too small, considering the things it has. I know it"s not easy to fix that problem, but with some time, you could make it bigger. Or at least more comfortable by taking things out.

Finally, how it looks. It looks bad. Maybe with some trees, plants. Getting some green stuff, so it looks better. It gives a ecologic sense and point of view.

I hope you keep this ideas in mind.

That Surprise Party.

My friend Fabrizio was going to be fourteen in two days. So i decided to plan a surprise party for him. I talked to his friends about this party and they all agree to help me. We all paid five bucks to get party stuff , like hats, baloons and each one went with their own present. We already had talked with Fabrizio"s parents about this party. They let us use their house, so when Fabrizio came from the mall with his parents that day, we could"ve surprise him.

 Everything was ready. When he came in the house we all jumped and yell at him. He freaked out a little bit, but then smile and thanked us for being such good friends.

Dear Marcos,

I heard you want to become a television presenter, so I am gonna give you some tips about it. First of all, there are going to be some ups and downs. You just have to believe in your yourself, like if nothing matters.
You can start by making auditions for the job. Or if you know someone that works for T.V. you can ask him to help you.
