Catcher's questions Chpter. 1-3

.- Holden star lying quite a lot because he didn't wanted Mr. Spencer to know about being kicked and all. Yes, half of the time.
.-  The comment is suppose te mean the you are suppose to follow life's rules, such as school. Holden acts like if he agrees, but he really didn't.
.- Yes, because both of them are teachers that try to help the main character, in this case Holden.
.- Because he thinks there are too much phonies, such as the headmaster.
.- That he often acts like a 12 year old kid, even though he's 17. The other one means that he rather lie that get into a stupid trouble, in some way.
.- He wants to tell what a good liar he is, but how bad it is to lie. He lies about agreeing with someone and often about places he has to go, but just to avoid some situations.
.- That reading makes you smarter in some things such as literature and culture. So being illiterate would be the exact oppossite.
.- He thinks Ackley bothers a lot and he calls him a phony. But he considers him as a friend after all and in a way he cares about him.
.- According to Ackley he is egocentric and thinks he is better that everyone but according to Holden he is a good roommate and quite simpathic.
.-Feeling sorry for something is for when you don't reaaly know the thing or person too much. Caring is a bigger feeling, more for friends and people you know.
.- That depends on your point of view. As long as you dislike the person in any sort of social way, you could think he is a phony. So it depends on how the reader associates Holden's point of view with their own.
